How to Invalidate a Confluence Cluster Cleanly

Hands reviewing notes beside market data

Failed confluence feels personal because the checklist looked complete. In Signal Alignment Lab we define invalidation in writing before size is discussed: acceptance beyond the structure, momentum flip with follow-through, or a higher-timeframe filter that has clearly flipped.

Students keep a reclaim-or-accept log. After twenty examples their eye improves. The habit prevents erasing a well-built cluster after one noisy candle—and prevents defending a dead cluster long after acceptance is clear. Training is less about memorizing indicator settings and more about building a personal archive of clusters you have already judged honestly.
